Red Oak boys finish second at bowling; Berry individual state champion

The Red Oak boys bowling team finished runner-up at Monday's 1A state bowling meet at Plaza Lanes in Des Moines.
The team finished with a score of 3,091. Waverly-Shell Rock took first at the event with a score of 3,159.
In addition, Red Oak had two bowlers finish in the top 10, including an overall champion. Hayden Berry won the individual title as he bowled a 504 series, edging out Caleb Miller of Cedar Rapids-Xavier.
Dylin Keat meanwhile finished tied for seventh, bowling a 453 series.
