Red Oak baseball camp starts soon

 The Montgomery County Family YMCA and the Red Oak Park and Tree Board are sponsoring two upcoming baseball camps in May. 

Both camps will be under the direction of Red Oak High School Head Varsity Baseball Coach Darrell Berry and assistant coaches Juan Batula, Nick Crouse and Mark Erickson. Red Oak High School varsity players will be at the camps to help demonstrate the fundamentals being covered. 

A baseball offensive and defensive skills camp will be Saturday, May 10 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. 

The camp will cover a variety of baseball fundamentals which will include hitting and fielding drills. A lunch break will take place from noon - 1 p.m. 

A pitching camp will be held Sunday, May 11 from 1– 4 p.m. Each participant will be taught the fundamentals of baseball pitching.  Parents are welcome to attend the camp to learn and understand the fundamentals being taught so the drills can then be used with the participant on a daily basis.

Both camps will take place in the Red Oak High School gymnasium.
