ACCIDENTS

On Dec. 12, at 7:20 a.m., Red Oak Police officers investigated a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of U.S. 34 and H-34 (200th Street). Vince Abraham, 47, Villisca, driving a 2013 International Workforce dump truck, was clearing snow from the intersection and was on the north side. Jacob Jackson, 32, Villisca, driving a 2009 International Workforce dump truck, was on 200th Street and was crossing the intersection from the south. The Abraham vehicle began to back up and struck the Jackson vehicle. Damage to each vehicle was about $5,000, and no citations have been issued at this time.
