ACCIDENTS
• On Sept. 30, Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies received a report a single-vehicle accident at 190th Street and Q Avenue. Upon arrival at the scene, the deputies found no vehicle present at the accident scene about one-fourth mile north of the intersection. According to the report, tracks showed the vehicle went out of control, left the road, went airborne, entered the ditch, and then continued about 50 feet into a field of standing corn. A deputy received information about the driver and went to a residence, where he located Megan McCall, 19, Villisca, and a 1998 Mercury Sable with deployed airbags and damage consistent to markings found at the scene. According to the report, McCall stated she lost control of the vehicle and went into the ditch. She also stated she had a small abrasion on her forearm from the airbag and that her neck hurt. Damage to the Sable was about $1,500, and damage to the corn owned by Roger Cerven, Stanton was about $200. McCall was cited for driving under suspension.
