Accident Reports

On Jan. 19, at 4:18 p.m., officers were called to W. 2nd St., south of Pamida, and found Devyn Charles Telschow's 1994 Pontiac Grand Am facing north on the east side of W. 2nd St. Telschow stated he was driving down W. 2nd St., when he lost steering capabilities and his vehicle veered into the concrete pole west of the MidAmerican Energy Storage Facility, damaging the passenger side front fender of the Grand Am. There was paint transfer to the pole and damage estimated at $1 until the property owner has time to examine it. Photographs were taken. No injuries were reported.
The front passenger side tire of the Grand Am was flattened during the accident, but was repaired, and arrangements were made to move the Grand Am by its owner.

On Jan. 25, at 2:16 p.m., a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix SE driven by Mitchell Lee Hilder, was headed northbound in the 1100 block of N. Highland Ave., when Hilder became distracted by three passengers in his vehicle and stopped watching the road. He then struck into the back of a 2007 Dodge Caliber owned by Schwesers Stores and proceeded to strike the rear of a 2006 Chevrolet Impala owned by Melissa Franks. These two vehicles were angle parked, side by side, on the east side of Highland Ave. Hilder's Pontiac then came to a rest at the opposite side of the street. During the accident, the Dodge was partially pushed up into a yard. Both parked vehicles received rear end damage, with the Dodge estimated at $5,000 damage and the Chevy estimated at $2,000 damage.
Hilder's Pontiac received damage to the right front end estimated at $500. Hilder was cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle.

Incident Reports

On Jan. 25, at 8:02 a.m., Jessica Lynn Hardman reported to the Red Oak Police Department that someone(s) had broke out the rear window in her 1991 gray Honda Accord. The vehicle was parked in the driveway behind the residence at 107 W. Nuckols St., when the incident occurred, sometime between Jan. 24, at 5 p.m., and Jan. 25, at 7 a.m. Damage is estimated at $150.
