ACCIDENTS

• On Sept. 10, at 11:44 a.m., Red Oak Police officers investigated a hit-and-run accident in the 300 block of East Washington Avenue. According to the report, the owner of a legally parked Chrysler Sebring found damage to her car. Upon investigation, a 2006 Nissan Altima parked to the east was found that had matching damage. The owner of the Nissan, Jeremy Pieken, 37, Red Oak, stated that he struck the vehicle the night before at about 9:55 p.m. while trying to park. Damage to the parked car was about $500, and damage to the Nissan was about $2,500. No citations were issued.
