• Filed Sept. 11, Jack O’Brien, 28, Red Oak, OWI first offense.
• Filed Sept. 12, Mary Adams, 57, Red Oak, intent to deliver methamphetamine, $100,000 cash bond.
ACCIDENTS
• On Sept. 7, at about 7:30 p.m., Red Oak Police officers were called to Highway 34 and Ironwood Ave. for an accident that occurred at Eastern Avenue and Summit Street. Justin Bernard, 17, Red Oak, driving a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up, was traveling west on Summit St. when Savanna Abraham, 19, Red Oak, driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, who was traveling north on Eastern Avenue, ran the stop sign. The Bernard vehicle was unable to stop and struck the Abraham vehicle, which continued north. Bernard followed the Abraham vehicle to Highway 34 and Ironwood Avenue, then pulled over and stopped. An unknown witness stopped and gave Bernard the license plate information of the then unknown vehicle. Officers located Abraham and cited her for failure to obey a stop sign.
• On Sept. 6, at about 8:06 p.m., Red Oak Police officers investigated an accident in the area of Reed Street and 6th Street. Lindsay Droz, 20, Red Oak, driving a 1997 Ford Taurus, was backing out of a driveway when he struck a 2002 Jeep Liberty, which was legally parked. Damage to the Jeep was about $1,600, while damage to the Droz vehicle was estimated at $600.
• On Sept. 11, at about 10:26 a.m., Red Oak Police officers investigated an accident at the intersection of Valley Street and 4th Street. Janice Dovel, 56, Red Oak, driving a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan, turned north on 4th Street. A 2006 Ford Explorer owned by Brenda Gayton, Red Oak, and driven by Leslie Alvarez, 17, Red Oak, was legally parked on 4th Street. The Alvarez vehicle pulled away from the curb and into to the side of the Dovel vehicle. Damage to the Dovel vehicle was estimated at $2,000, while damage to the Alvarez vehicle was about $300. Alvarez was cited for no valid driver’s license.
