ACCIDENTS

• On Sept. 5, at 7:10 a.m., Red Oak Police officers investigated an accident at the intersection of South 4th and East Ohio streets. Kaylie Hudson, 24, Red Oak, driving a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu, was traveling south on 4th Street when, according to the report her brakes and steering failed and she went into the ditch. Damage to the vehicle was about $4,000. No citations were issued.

• On Sept. 9, at 9:48 p.m., Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single vehicle accident on Highway 34 just west of G Avenue. Troy Lande, driving a semi, was traveling west on Highway 34 when the semi struck two cows owned by Pat Wolfe/Red Oak Live Stock, killing both them. Damage to the semi was about $6,000. There were no injuries.
