INCIDENTS

ACCIDENTS

• On Aug. 31, at about 8:43 a.m., Red Oak Police officers investigated an accident at the intersection of Short Street and 3rd Street. Misty McKay, 28, Red Oak, driving a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan owned by Nishna Productions, Inc., was traveling north on 3rd Street and approaching the intersection. A 1997 Chevrolet 1500 pick-up owned by Danny Archer, Red Oak, was legally parked in the 200 block of 3rd Street. McKay misjudged the distance as she was passing the parked Archer vehicle, striking the bumper with the side of her vehicle. Damage to the McVay vehicle was about $2,000, while damage to the Archer vehicle was estimated at $200. No citations were issued.
