ACCIDENTS

• The Montgomery County Sheriff’s office is investigating two hit-and-run accidents that occurred Sunday, Aug. 28, in Villisca. A 2008 Nissan Versa owned by Thomas Gavin, 69, Des Moines, and a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser owned by John Murren II, 39, Shenandoah, were parked in the 300 block of East 6th Street and were struck sometime between midnight and 3 a.m. Paint transfer indicates both vehicles were struck by a white vehicle. Anyone with informatio is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 712-623-5107.
