ACCIDENTS

• On Aug. 5, at 6 p.m., Red Oak Police officers investigated a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of North 2nd and Walnut streets. Morgan Davenport, 29, Red Oak, driving a 2006 Chevrolet Impala owned by Brandon Ridlen, Red Oak, was traveling north on 2nd Street. Angela Hunt Mitera, 40, Red Oak, driving a 2017 Ford CMS owned by Earl Woods, Red Oak, was traveling east on Walnut Street. The Hunt Mitera vehicle failed to yield at the intersection to the Davenport vehicle, hitting it broadside and causing it to roll onto its top. Damage to the Davenport vehicle was about $8,000, while damage to the Hunt Mitera vehicle was about $12,000. Both drivers refused medical treatment from paramedics, and Hunt Mitera was cited for driving while license under suspension, violation of conditions of restricted license, and failure to yield right of way.
