ACCIDENTS

• On Jan. 29, at 7:30 p.m., Red Oak Police officers investigated a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of North 4th and Oak streets. Elizabeth Carbaugh, 15, Red Oak, driving a 2007 Jeep Compass owned by David Carbaugh, Red Oak, was traveling north on 4th Street. Alyssa Hogberg, 15, Red Oak, driving a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe owned by Douglas Hogberg, was traveling west on Oak Street. According to the report, Carbaugh failed to yield the right of way and the intersection and her vehicle struck the Hogberg vehicle. Damage to the Carbaugh vehicle was about $3,000, and damage to the Hogberg vehicle was about $2,000. There were no injuries, and no citations were issued.
