ACCIDENTS

• On Jan. 20, at 12:45 p.m., Red Oak Police officers investigated a two-vehicle accident at the Acorn Acres main entrance on 8th Street. Jane Myers, 57, Red Oak, driving a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up, was traveling south on 8th Street and was turning left into the Acorn Acres driveway. Elizabeth Nissen, 65, Red Oak, driving a 2017 Mazda CX5, was parked in the driveway and, not seeing the Myers vehicle, began to back out onto 8th Street. The Nissen vehicle struck the Myers vehicle. Damage to each vehicle was about $3,000. There were no injuries. Nissen was cited for failing to yield upon entering a road or highway.
