ACCIDENTS

• On Dec. 26, at 4:57 p.m., Red Oak Police officers investigated a two-car accident in the 200 block of Reed Street. Levi Smith, 40, Essex, was backing out of a parking spot on the north side of the street and struck a 1999 Buick LeSabre that was legally parked on the south side of the street The Smith vehicle had about $1,100 damage, and damage to the parked car was about $1,200. Not citations were issued.

• On Dec. 27, at 8:22 p.m., Red Oak Police officers investigated a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of North 6th Street and Prospect Street. Joshua Baumfalk, 17, Red Oak, driving a 1998 Ford F16 pick-up owned by Daniel Baumfalk, Red Oak, was traveling south on 6th Street and was turning west at the intersection with Prospect Street. Angela Baier, 41, Red Oak, driving a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country van was stopped at the intersection on Prospect Street. According to the report, Baumfalk had only scraped a small area on his windshield, did not see the Baier vehicle stopped at the intersection, was unable to stop once he saw it, and struck the driver’s side front fender. Damage to the Baumfalk vehicle was $2,000, and damage to the vehicle was $3,000. No citations were issued.
