Qualifying track meets net local entries for the blue oval

State qualifying track meets were held around the state Thursday, with many local athletes advancing to the blue oval at Drake for state competition.
Red Oak
Red Oak girls qualified in the distance medley relay by placing second at Missouri Valley. The team of Syd Streicher, Dana Marsden, Juhi Boeye, and Ellie Rengstorf finished with a time of 4:26.54.
Two more entries were qualified after the times were compared across the state.
The sprint medley team of Streicher, Sierra Athen, Marsden, and Boeye’s time of 1:54.41 was fast enough to send them on to state.
Dana Marsden qualified with a time of 27.21 in the 200m.
East Mills Girls
Janette Schraft: 800m, 1500m, 3000m.
Zena Courtier: 400m hurdles.
Madison Williams, Emmy Duysen, Courtier, Schraft: distance medley relay.
Boys
Matt Glockel: discus, shot put.
Dylan Schroeder: 110m hurdles.
