Pursuit ends with arrest in Page County

 

A Red Oak man is in custody following a pursuit. 

At around 1:30 p.m. on June 7, the Red Oak Police received a stolen vehicle report regarding a white Jeep Wrangler owned by Tracy Vannausdle of Red Oak. The vehicle was believed to have been taken by Eric Vannausdle, 25, of Red Oak. 

 Later that afternoon, at around 3:15 p.m., a Montgomery County sheriff’s deputy observed Eric Vannausdle operating the vehicle as it entered Stanton. The deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, and Vannausdle fled south through Stanton on Halland Avenue. Vannausdle continued onto O Ave. and into Page County where he was stopped by law enforcement officials at O Avenue. and 190th Street.

 Vannausdle was taken into custody and charged with felony eluding and second-degree theft and held in lieu of $5,000 bond. 

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Page County Sheriff’s Office, Red Oak Police, and the Iowa State Patrol.
