 Public Land Social & Forum in Council Bluffs August 27

Council Bluffs, IA (August 19, 2019) Golden Hills RC&D and several partners invite hunters and outdoor enthusiasts to learn about public land and hunting opportunities in southwest Iowa's Harrison, Pottawattamie, Mills & Fremont counties at a forum and social event in Council Bluffs. The program will be held Tuesday, August 27 from 7:00-8:30pm at Full Fledged Brewing Co. (40 Arena Way, Suite 2 in Council Bluffs).

The Loess Hills and Missouri River Valley of southwestern Iowa offer some of the state's best habitat for waterfowl, whitetails, upland birds, and more. Several of the region's habitat and hunting experts will discuss opportunities for public hunting, including state and county wildlife areas, Iowa Habitat and Access Program properties, and more.

Presenters include Jake Holt and Nic Salick, Farm Bill Biologists with Pheasants Forever, and Matt Dollison, biologist with Iowa Department of Natural Resources’ Nishnabotna Wildlife Unit. In addition to the presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and socialize with other hunters and conservationists from the region.
