Planned Parenthood’s target: your children

To the Editor:

Yes, it is true, Planned Parenthood does provide some limited reproductive health care. But no amount of good works will ever be able to justify the thousands of abortions they do every day. They have proven time and again that they are more interested in their bottom line than in the care of women. The current situation in southwest Iowa is yet another example of this.

Planned Parenthood just received a $5 million grant through the Obama administration targeting your area. They have sent one of their educators to “teach” area children as young as kindergarten. We’ve all seen the top-level Planned Parenthood abortion doctors explaining in great detail how they train their abortionists to “crush above and below the thorax” so as to harvest the best specimens. Intact body parts mean more money in their pockets. If an organization would do something this horrible, do we really trust them with our five-year-old children?

How does Planned Parenthood get business? By establishing a relationship with children as early as possible. A teacher can’t apply sunscreen to a pre-schooler without a doctor’s order, but Planned Parenthood can give a 12-year-old contraceptives and abortion-causing pills. By speaking to children in their elementary years, Planned Parenthood’s goal is to build trust, to become the child’s ally, and to come between a parent and their child.

I know this because I worked in northwest Iowa as a Planned Parenthood sex educator for nearly eighteen years.

It is a wise parent who is involved in their child’s education. It’s time to stand up and speak against allowing Planned Parenthood in any local school, but especially not in the elementary school.
