Shirley Beam, 71

Shirley Ann Beam, 71, Littleton, Colo., formerly of Red Oak, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Wind Crest Senior Living in Highlands Ranch, Colo.
Shirley was born Sept. 12, 1952, in Red Oak, the daughter of Howard and Gwendolyn (Fisher) Jackson. She graduated from Red Oak High School in 1970 and attended Nebraska Methodist Nurses Training where she received her RN degree.
Shirley was united in marriage to James Beam on Oct. 5, 1974, in Red Oak. They lived all their married life in Red Oak. Shirley worked at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a longtime member of First Christian Church. Shirley moved to Colorado in 2011 where she enjoyed many friends and family. She loved the mountains, going for walks, and spending time with her grandkids.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and husband, James Beam.
Survivors include her daughters, Jamie Wenger and husband Daniel of Littleton, Colo., and Hayley Gardner of Ankeny; grandchildren, Colton Beam, Lucy Gardner, Owen Wenger, and Peyton Wenger; brother, Keith Jackson of Cushing; sister-in-law, Kathy Beam of Farragut; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel at 1995 G Ave. in Red Oak.
