Russell Bickle, 72

Russell Fredrick Bickle, 72, Manchester, formerly of Red Oak, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024, at his home.
He was born on Dec. 15, 1951, in Red Oak, the son of Rolland and Elinor (Carlson) Bickle. He was raised and educated in the Red Oak area, graduating from Red Oak High School in 1970. Following graduation, Russell served with
the 1168th Transportation Company in Red Oak.
Russell attended tech school and worked for many years as a mechanic at Larson Suzuki in Red Oak. He also worked as a station engineer for KCSI Radio and at Kum & Go, both in Red Oak. After moving to the Manchester area, Russell
worked at Town Square media in Dubuque. Russell moved to Manchester in 2021.
Russell served as a member of the Red Oak City Council. He was a 49-year member of the Fraternal
Order of Eagles.
Survivors include his son Russell “R.J.” (Emily) Bickle of Dubuque; his step-son, Adam (Christina White) Rennison of Manchester; brother, Rick Bickle of Council Bluffs; and several grandchildren.
