Pauline Walker, 90

Pauline Louise Walker, 90, Red Oak, passed away Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022, at the Red Oak Rehab and Care Center.  
Pauline was born May 17, 1932, in Red Oak, the daughter of Harold and Nellie (Younggren) Hunt.  She graduated from Coburg High School in 1950.  She worked for JD Café, Moore’s Café, and the egg plant in Malvern before her marriage to Charles E. Walker, Sr. on Jan. 22, 1956, in Red Oak.  They farmed for several years and ran the pig farm for four years before moving into Red Oak.  In 1971, Charlie and Pauline started Charlie Walker Real Estate, which they operated for over 40 years.  
Pauline was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church for many years.  Her hobbies included gardening, tending her flowers, fishing, camping, spending time at the lake, and enjoying living on their acreage.  
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Charles E. Walker, Sr. on Sept. 25, 2014; son,  Gary Walker; sisters, Maxine Chastain and Betty Clark; and brother, Donavan Hunt.  
Survivors include her sons, Charles E. “Chuck” Walker, Jr and wife Gena of Red Oak, and Steve Walker and wife Cindy of Red Oak; grandchildren, Cindy Price and husband Curtis of Castle Rock, Colo.; Carey Millikan and Todd of Shenandoah; Morgan Franks and husband Dave of Omaha, Neb.; Casey Walker and wife Clarissa of Red Oak; Carly Esaias and husband Seth of Red Oak; Elaine Walker of Des Moines; Macy Walker of Red Oak; Erica Walker of Cedar Rapids; and Leya Walker of Red Oak; great-grandchildren, Cohen and Jordan Price; Cambre, Paige, Matthew, and Journey Millikan; Logan and Hayden Franks; Cyson, Caria, and Charli Walker; and Waverly and Walker Esaias; brother, Larry Hunt and wife Rosario of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters-in-law, Carol Morse and husband Lane of Red Oak, and Sharon Hoover and husband Joe of Winterset; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.  Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
