Patricia Johnson, 94

Patricia G. Johnson, 94, Red Oak, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Accura Healthcare of Stanton.
Patricia Geraldine Johnson, the daughter of Jesse and Flora (McMahon) McIntyre, was born Dec. 18, 1929, at Farragut. Pat was raised in Farragut, where she graduated from Farragut High School in l947. That summer, Pat was selected as the 1947 Sidney Rodeo Queen. She attended Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, Mo., and this is where she met her future husband. On Aug. 14, 1949, Pat was united in marriage to Wilbert “Willie” Johnson, in Farragut. Willie and Pat made Red Oak their home and she worked for a few years at Union Carbide Battery Company. After the birth of their first child, Pat became a homemaker, along with helping C. Emil Johnson and Sons Construction by doing bookwork.
Pat and Willie built their cabin at Sun Valley Lake in l989, where they enjoyed taking the grandchildren tubing and on sunset boat rides. Pat also enjoyed spending time at the cabin in Minnesota fishing and in the winter, snowmobiling. Other hobbies she enjoyed were knitting, crocheting, baking, skiing, golfing, and playing cards. Willie and Pat like traveling and visited Germany, Sweden, Canada, Alaska, and several world fairs, too. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir, and was a past member of the Red Oak Country Club. Pat especially treasured her children and grandchildren and spending time with them.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie on March 23, 2019; daughter, Jerri Johnson; and three brothers, Jesse, Carl, and Dick.
Pat is survived by three children, Bill Johnson and special friend Connie Glassgow of Red Oak, Rod (Deb) Johnson of Red Oak, and Jody (Brian) Snyder of Decorah; seven grandchildren, Angie, Elizabeth (Matt), Jeremy (Lori), Dawnelle, Bonni, Drew, and Kinzie; and nine great-grandchildren, Kala, Josie, Cade, Jace, Cody, Brooklyn, Alyssa, Nolan and Reilley; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Red Oak.
Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church one hour prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak. Memorials may be directed to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
