Jerry Bates, 82

Jerry Bates, 82, passed away on Monday, Sept. 4, 2023, at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.
Jerry was born in Montgomery, County on Oct. 9, 1940, the son of Donald and Elsie (Weseen) Bates.
Jerry is survived by his wife Diane of Grant, his daughters, Debra James of Dallas, Texas and Dana Bates of Scottsdale, Ariz. and three grandchildren.

A celebration of life service with military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at the United Church of Hope in Elliott, formerly the Elliott United Methodist Church.  A time of lunch and fellowship will follow at the Elliott Community Building.  Memorials are suggested to the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Court of Honor.
