Jean Means, 91, passed away Saturday evening, July 30, 2022, at Arroyo Grande Hospital in Arroyo Grande, Calif.
Jean Means, daughter of Harry and Geneva Taylor, was born Oct. 15, 1931, in Fairfield.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Leland; and her parents, Harry and Geneva. Her daughter, Colleen Dempsey, passed away 20 days after Jean.
She is survived by her children, Paula Lund of Carpinteria, Calif., Nancy Nagle of Deephaven, Minn., and Tom Means of Arroyo Grande, Calif.; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Arlington Cemetery near Villisca. Memorials are preferred to the Villisca Swimming Pool, Villisca Library or the Villisca EMTs.
Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel of Red Oak is in charge of arrangements.
