Elizabeth Connor, 37

Elizabeth Kay Connor of Oneonta, N.Y., passed away at her home on Friday, April 19, 2024, after a valiant battle with stage 4 ovarian cancer. She was 37.
She was born Jan. 12, 1987, in Red Oak, the daughter of the late Robert (Mick) Connor and Christie Connor.
She attended Unatego Central School and graduated from SUNY Albany in 2009 where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Elizabeth was an avid traveler, starting with her year abroad with the Rotary Youth Exchange Program in Slovakia, followed by trips to numerous countries as well as various destinations throughout the U.S., including a final bucket list trip to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with her sister.
Liz had the magic touch for making things around her more beautiful. Even the simplest activities had extra flair when she was involved. Her many talents ranged from hosting parties, planning weddings and baby showers, cooking gourmet dishes, and setting gorgeous tables. Her mother always referred to her as the “Martha Stewart” of the family.
Liz’s greatest gift to the family was her devotion to her nieces and nephew.  She spent hours with them coming up with all sorts of imaginative activities and adventures.
Elizabeth is survived by her mother, Christie Conor of Unadilla, N.Y.; her sisters Katy Sherwood (Mike) of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; Maggie Lundin (Eric) of Slingerlands, N.Y.; Anne Connor of Alexandria, Va.; Erin Kuhn (Jacob) of Great Barrington, Mass.; and her brother, Michael Connor (Rachel) of Cincinnati, Ohio; as well as her nieces, Ava Sherwood and Ellie Lundin, and her nephew Benjamin Kuhn. She leaves behind many wonderful friends who helped her family care for her and fill her final days with laughter and good company.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mick Connor; aunts, Joan Anderson and Cynthia Mack; uncle, Rick Connor; nephew, Robert George Lundin; and beloved golden retriever, Max.
Calling hours will be held Friday, May 3 from 5 to 7 p.m.  Funeral services will be Saturday, May 4 at 11 a.m. at CH Landers Funeral Home in Sidney, N.Y.
A memorial is being established in Liz’s name.
