Edwina Robinett, 89

Edwina Elinor Robinett (Giltner/Tyre), 89, passed away Oct. 28, 2023.
Edwina was preceded to heaven by Ray and Rosa (McDade) Giltner, as well as Marshall Binnion Tyre II, and Sam Robinett.  Also, her brothers and sister, Kenneth and Thomas Giltner, and Elaine Joiner. She was welcomed by her adult children, Janis Tyre, and Marshall B. Tyre Ill.  
She was mother to six, grandmother to eight, and great-grandmother to three children. There was a video gallery for Mom; and nieces and nephews sent beautiful flowers for her funeral and graveside service.
Edwina was born Dec. 25, 1933, and graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas, Texas.  She was a young member of Eastern Star in the First Baptist Church. She and Rosa worked as telephone operators at Southwestern Bell in the early 1960s.  She was a Campfire and Blue Bird Leader at Winnetka Elementary School.  Her boys were in BSA. She raised her children in the Oak Cliff, Lancaster, and Brownsville, Texas areas.  Recently, she resided at Red Oak Assisted Living & Rehab Center with her daughter, Gail Tyre.
Her resting place is in Brownsville, Texas Funeraria Del Angel Roses (Roselawn) as of Nov. 7, 2023.
