Cody McAlpin, 43

Cody James McAlpin, 43, was born Jan. 14, 1981, in Red Oak, and passed away Jan. 13, 2025, after a courageous battle with blood cancer.
Cody moved to Omaha in 2000 where he spent his adult years with his wife and life partner of 24 years, Kaley McAlpin Draper. Cody and Kaley had a passion for exploring breweries, Scriptown being one of their favorites. They enjoyed traveling to places like New York City and Las Vegas. Cody had a passion for his work as a land surveyor, working on several projects around Omaha.
His entire life, Cody was the epitome of kind. He was a friend to many and always willing to help anyone in need. His quick wit and gentle disposition attracted people to him. Cody was an amazing husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, and an avid Husker, Detroit Lions, and Yankees fan.
Cody is survived by his wife Kaley; parents, Robina and Gary, Rod and Connie; grandmother, Velma; siblings and their spouses, Ryan, Destiny (Steve), Landon (Jacy), Trevor (Kaitlin), Taylor (Whitnei), and Jeff; parents-in-law, Lynne and Rich; brother-in-law, Kamden (Kari) and many nieces and nephews.
A public celebration of life will be held Saturday, Feb. 8, from 1 to 4 p.m. at McAlpin Place, 109 Washington St., Red Oak.
