Charlotte Werth, 83

Charlotte Werth, 83, Red Oak, passed away peacefully on Feb. 28, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Charlotte was raised in Creston and spent most of her adult life in Red Oak.
Charlotte was very active in the community, serving on the school board and heading up the children’s food program in southwestern Iowa. She was also the co-founder of Sunshine and Rainbows Childcare Center. Charlotte was instrumental in raising thousands of dollars for local charities in Iowa and Nebraska.
She is survived by her spouse of 30 years, Jo Knott; sons, John and Robert Werth; three daughters-in-law; two granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and two sisters.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with cremation services.
