Alvin Sobbing, 70; Andrew Hersman, 12

Alvin Sobbing, 70, Auburn, Neb., along with his stepson, Andrew Hersman, 12, tragically passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from a motor vehicle accident south of Nebraska City, Neb.
Alvin was born on Nov. 4, 1954, in Red Oak, the son of Jesse and Joan (Palin) Sobbing. Andrew was born on March 19, 2013, in Dunn, N.C., the son of Amy Caddell.
 Alvin is survived by his wife Amy; and children, Jesse Sobbing of Malvern, Kenneth Sobbing of Silver City, and Kaylee Lilyhorn of Glenwood. Andrew is survived by his mom Amy of Auburn.
Celebration of Life services were held Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Alvin and Andrew and their families.
