Non-irrigated cropland cash rent prices in Iowa
Non-irrigated cropland cash rent averaged $230.00 per acre in Iowa during 2020, unchanged from 2019 according to the latest report released by USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. Pasture rented for cash averaged $54.00 per acre, down $5.00 from 2019.
Grundy County had the highest cash rent for non-irrigated cropland, at $272.00 per acre, followed by Bremer County, at $266.00 per acre. Scott, Sioux, and Delaware rounded out the top five. Lucas County, at $135.00 per acre, had the lowest average cash rent for non-irrigated cropland.
Osceola and Sioux Counties tied for the highest published pasture cash rent, at $90.00 per acre followed by Mills, at $85.00 per acre. Woodbury also had a pasture cash rent rate above $80.00 per acre at $80.50.
