Stanton picks up Corner victory

Stanton notched a 25-15, 25-20, 25-17 sweep of Bedford in Corner Conference volleyball last Tuesday.
“I was proud of the way our team came out focused and competed with confidence from start to finish,” said Stanton coach John Mainquist. “We served aggressively, played solid defense, and did a great job creating offensive opportunities.”
Haylee Joint led the way for Stanton with 19 assists, while Addison Jones and Cooper Stephens each finished with six kills.
Addie Peterson had a strong serving night with five aces, and the defense kept the Viqueens in system throughout the match.
“Overall, it was a great team effort, and we’ll continue to build on the things we did well as we prepare for our next match,” Mainquist said. “Proud of this group.”
