ZION Recovery Services changes name to ZION Integrated Behavioral Health Services

 ZION Recovery Services is pleased to announce the organization has changed their name to ZION Integrated Behavioral Health Services, or “ZION” to abbreviate.  The change aligns with their mission to provide a comprehensive program of behavioral health services: substance use disorder, problem gambling, prevention, and mental health.  Additionally, ZION has managed Southwest Iowa Mental Health Center (SWIMH) for the last three years. SWIMH will dissolve and merge into ZION Integrated Behavioral Health Services effective July 1, 2021.  No services will be discontinued.  The organization’s staff will continue their dedication and commitment to communities in Southwest Iowa to provide caring, supportive, and quality treatment.

The name change will also boast a website name change from zionrecovery.org to zioniowa.org. The decision to update the name reflects the organization’s desire to accurately communicate services which include “recovery” as well as numerous programs for promoting and maintaining optimal well-being of patients.

ZION Integrated Behavioral Health Services maintains a treatment environment which welcomes and enhances the safety and positive self-image of patients while preserving their dignity. All persons will be approached with respect and communicated within a manner of courtesy and respect. Priority is given to protecting the rights of all individuals seeking substance use disorder, problem gambling, prevention, and mental health treatment throughout the organizations.

Services offered encompass outpatient, intensive outpatient, halfway house, peer recovery, medication management, medication assisted treatment, prevention, along with crisis stabilization, mobile crisis response, and transitional housing at Safe Harbor. ZION serves six counties from locations in the towns of Greenfield, Atlantic, Adel, Perry, Red Oak, Clarinda, Shenandoah and Woodward. All locations can be scheduled through (712) 243-5091.
