Red Oak man facing sexual assault charges

A Red Man is in custody on charges of sexual abuse. 

On Aug. 16, the Red Oak Police Department arrested Matthew Walter Riley, 41, on a valid Red Oak Police Department warrant on a charge of forcible sexual assault in the third degree, a Class C felony. Riley was also arrested on a warrant for second-degree burglary, also a Class C felony, and assault with the intent to commit sexual assault, an aggravated misdemeanor. 

The sexual assault are the result of a lengthy investigation from an incident which occured in August, 2018. The burglary and assault with the intent to commit sexual assault charge also stem from an August, 2018 case, but happened at a different time with a different victim. Riley was taken to the Montgomery County Jail and held without bond.
