MCDC kicks off partnership drive

Executive Board of Director members for the Montgomery County Development Corporation have kicked off its 2019 Membership Partner Investment.

A 501c3 corporation, the MCDC is focused on meeting the economic and social needs of the county.

Goals of the corporation include improving the quality of life for residents of Montgomery County, quality housing opportunities, retention and creation of business and industry opportunities and the skilled workforce to be employed by said industry and business.

Additionally, the MCDC would like to see 100 percent fiber-optic capacity to everyone in the county, more certified childcare resources and collaboration with adjoining counties to improve the quality of life in southwest Iowa in general.

There are several membership investment levels available, ranging from Platinum, $7,500; Diamond, $5,000; Gold, $2,500; Silver, $1,000; Bronze, $750 and Supporter, $100-$749. Annual suggested contributions for a three-year pledge are preferred.

“Montgomery County has limitless potential, we just need to tap into it,” said Shawnna Silvius, Montgomery County Economic Development executive director. “Good things are happening, and they are just getting started.”

Members of the Executive Board are: Bryant Amos, Brad Wright, Jenna Ramsey and Jeanice Lester. Board Directors are: Mike Olson, Lee Haidsiak, Tim Werges, Dennis Bloom and Tom Messinger.
