RO native’s costuming in film at the Grand

The Red Oak Grand Theatre’s upcoming movie features a local connection to Red Oak. 

Friday through Sunday, The Grand is showing “The Meddler,” which features costume design from Annie Bloom, who was born and raised in Red Oak. She is the daughter of Dennis Bloom, vice president of the Red Oak Greenhouse, and Katie Bloom. 

Annie Bloom has served as the costume designer of 27 films thus far. In addition to “The Meddler,” she was the costume designer of “No Escape,” with Owen Wilson, and “Surrogates,” with Bruce Willis.
