Hoffman receives all-american honors
SEWARD, Neb — Griswold High School graduate Jared Hoffman has received all-american honors from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) for outdoor track and field.
Hoffman was running for Concordia University of Nebraska at the NAIA National Championship Track and Field meet, which was held at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind., from May 26-28.
In the 4x800, Hoffman’s team finished fifth with a time of 7:39.62.
To reach the finals, Hoffman ran a personal record leg of 1:53.8 split, as his team ran a 7:38.13.
Hoffman received All-American honors earlier in the year for his efforts at indoor track and field.
Hoffman graduated from Griswold High School in 2009 and is the son of Rex and Marian Hoffman of Henderson.
Concordia finished 11th at the NAIA National meet.
