Weather Watch: Frost Advisory for overnight

OMAHA — The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for Montgomery, Mills and Page Counties, as well as the rest of Southwest Iowa, for the overnight hours.

The advisory will go into effect at 3 a.m. Tuesday and last until 8 a.m.

Sensitive outdoor plants are vulnerable to the advisory and may be killed if not covered. With an advisory, it means that frost is possible.

Clear skies are expected for tonight, along with light winds, which likely would drop the temperatures.

The low overnight is expected to be in the low-30s.

Despite the possibility of frost, temperatures will still be nice Tuesday as a high is expected to be in the low 60s.
