Gilbert, Sherman to wed

Deana and Mike Gilbert of Red Oak announce the engagement of their daughter, Sara, of West Des Moines, to Daniel Sherman of Sioux City. 

Sara and Daniel plan to wed in West Des Moines on July 11, 2009.

Sara, a 2004 graduate of Red Oak High School, is an assistant account executive with Hanser and Associates Public relations in West Des Moines. She graduated May 2008 from Drake University with a major in journalism and public relations and a minor in vocal music.

Daniel, a 2004 graduate of Bishop Heelen High School in Sioux City, is completing a degree in biology at Iowa State University with a minor in music. He plans to earn a doctor of physical therapy degree following graduation from Iowa State.

He is the son of Dr. Ray and Leigh Sherman of Sioux City.
