Nodaway man arrested after high speed chase Sunday

 A Nodaway man was arrested early Sunday morning after flipping his car following a high speed chase with law enforcement. 

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Jason Adam Oathoudt, 35, of Nodaway, was arrested at about 2:08 a.m. on charges of operating while intoxicated (first offense), felony eluding and speeding. 

Deputies unsuccessfully tried to stop Oathoudt on 265th street. He would eventually drive the vehicle off the highway at the intersection of 265th and Birch Ave., west of Nodaway. The vehicle overturned, but Oathoudt was uninjured. 

He was transported to the Montgomery County jail and held on a $5,000 bond. 

Police estimate he was driving as fast as 90 miles per hour during the pursuit.
