State auditor making Red Oak stop July 21

Iowa State Auditor Rob Sand will be in Montgomery County as part of his Town Hall Tour from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 21.
 
The event will take place at Legion Park, 1904 N. Broadway St. in Red Oak. The public is invited to attend. Sand will highlight the accomplishments of the office that have saved Iowa taxpayers millions of dollars.  They include uncovering the misuse of public funds and the creation of the Public Innovations and Efficiencies (PIE) program, which encourages local governments to cut costs by reducing waste.
 
Prior to the Red Oak stop, Sand will hold a town hall in Mills County from 8 to 9 a.m. on July 21. The Mills County town hall is at Hiley Park, 128 Hillcrest Ave. in Glenwood.
 

For Page County residents, Sand will hold a town hall from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 20 at Kiwanis Park, 836-926 S. 20th St. in Clarinda.
