Josephson found guiilty of assault

On May 2, 2023, 42-year-old Michael Kirk Josephson was found guilty of the crime of Assault, a simple misdemeanor, in Montgomery County Magistrate Court on Tuesday afternoon. The verdict was returned by a jury after a one-day trial and a little over 30 minutes of deliberations.

On Oct. 13, 2022, Noah Roberts, Josephson’s step-son, called law enforcement after he was assaulted in the Josephson home. An investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office resulted in Josephson being charged with assault. After the verdict was returned, Josephson was released on bond. Sentencing will be set at a future date. Conviction of simple assault carries with it a sentence that could include up to 30 days in jail and a fine of $855.00.
This case was investigated by members of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Red Oak Police Department, and prosecuted by the members of the Page County Attorney’s Office, who were appointed as special prosecutors.
