Mildred Roof, 83

Mildred J. Roof, 83, Red Oak, died Friday, April 4, 2014, at the Red Oak Health Care Community.

Mildred Joyce Roof, the daughter of Ray A. and Bernice (Bowen) McDonald, was born March 18, 1931, in Jesse, Okla.

She married Grady Leeper in l949. On July 9, 1976, Mildred married Alonzo “Lonnie” Roof in Red Oak.

Mildred is survived by three sons, Harold and Billy Leeper and Charles Roof, all of Red Oak; step-children, William Roof of Glenwood, Robert Roof of Sidney and Anna May Gould of Red Oak; brothers, Fred McDonald of Eufaula, Okla. and Roger McDonald of Spokane, Wash.; and sister, Kay Villa of Geyserville, Calif.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.
