Maxine J. Orstad, 89

Maxine J. Orstad, 89, of Griswold, passed away on Jan. 10, 2011, at the Cass County Hospice Center.
Maxine June Orstad was born June 15, 1921, on a farm near Grant, the daughter of Ralph and Louise (Lindner) Vetter.  She married Russell Orstad on Dec. 8, 1945, at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa.  
Surviving Maxine are her daughters, Janet Cappel and Diane Petty all of Atlantic; her son, Dean Orstad of Griswold; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Maxine also leaves a sister, Dorothy Gridley; and a brother, Merlin Vetter.
Funeral services were held on Jan. 14, 2011, at the United Methodist Church in Grant.  Burial was in the Grant Cemetery.
