Mary Dinville, 96
Mary L. Dinville, 96, of Red Oak, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Society in Red Oak.
Mary Louise Dinville was born to Frank and Ruth (Archer) Saner May 12, 1915, in Imogene. She was raised in the Imogene area, then moved to Red Oak with her parents and graduated from Red Oak High School.
Mary married Julius J. Dinville June 26, 1935, in Red Oak. They made their home on a farm near Red Oak from 1943 until 1966, when they moved into Red Oak.
Mary went to work for Union Carbide Battery Company in l956, retiring in 1980 after 24 years of service. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Red Oak and enjoyed being outdoors working in her yard, gardening and traveling.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Julius, on March 20, 1995; and eight siblings, Archie, Florence, Kate, Winnie, Teresa, Carolyn, Dorothy and Donald.
Mary is survived by four sons, Gerald L. (Pat) Dinville, of Council Bluffs, Martin F. (Judy) Dinville, of Sun City West, Ariz., Duane E. (Janet) Dinville, of Stanton, and Marvin D. (Karen) Dinville, of Clear Lake, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 18 step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Mike Saner, of San Francisco, Calif., and Terry Saner, of Red Oak; many nieces and nephews; along with other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Monday, April 9, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Red Oak. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak, with Rev. Father Tom Kunnel officiating. Open viewing was at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home Saturday, April 7, and Sunday, April 8, with family visitation.
