Lois Lynam, 85, formerly of Nodaway, passed away on June 7, 2010, at the Hearthstone Care Center in York, Neb.
Lois (Chubick) Lynam was born June 6, 1925, in Carbon, to Harvey and Lilly (Casebolt) Chubick.
She married Kenneth Leo Lynam on June 14, 1942, in Maryville, Mo. This union was blessed with five daughters: Marilyn, Patricia, Karen, Carolyn, and Marianna. They were lifelong farmers in the southwest Iowa area until retiring and moving to Nodaway. Her interest included gardening, serving as the church treasurer, going on “buggy rides,” and enjoying time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Karen Hardy, sons-in-law Robert Wyrick and Fred Roberts, great-granddaughter, Hattie Wyrick, great-great-granddaughter, Mikala Nelson, siblings Dela, Clara, Ethel, Pearl, Lola, and brother Harvey.
Lois is survived by her children Marilyn (Matthew) Pacheco of Bakersfield, Calif., Patricia Wyrick of Springfield, Mo., Carolyn (Wayne) Faust of Plattsmouth, Neb., and Marianna (Bill) Harris of Red Cloud, Neb.; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; brother Otis (Judy) Chubick of Nodaway; sisters-in-law: Joyce (Dean) Gourley and Wilma (Herb) Bashaw all of Villisca.
Funeral services were held on June 11 at the Nodaway United Methodist Church in Nodaway, with burial in the Nodaway Cemetery with Pastor Gordon Scott officiating.
