Letters to | the Editor

To the Editor:
In August, my letter to the editor explained who Saul Alinsky was and how he has affected policies of the Obama administration and likely would continue under a Hillary Clinton presidency. Then, if you couple with those facts a statement made by our current president, at a meeting of the Bilderberg Group in Brussels, Belgium, May 23, 2014, things get scarier.
lf you’re not familiar with the Bilderberg Group, it is a group of wealthy, powerful people from all over the world, who are pushing for a New World Order. The actual quote from Obama’s speech was: “Ordinary men and women are too small-minded to govern their own affairs. Order and progress can only come when individuals surrender their rights to an all-powerful sovereign.”
I believe America needs to wake up and start thinking about where we want to go as a nation and how we want to be governed. l, for one, do not want to surrender my rights to anyone else. I hope most people feel the same way.
Consider some the things that Obama has done already:
• Apologized to foreign adversaries for what the U.S. has done.
• Befriended and/or lifted sanctions on Cuba and Venezuela – both socialist/communist countries.
• Released prisoners from GITMO, who went back to help our enemies fight against us.
• Has had one of the biggest “race baiters” in the U.S. as a frequent White House visitor.
• Made comments about police incidents involving blacks before all the facts were known, which has given rise to more racial division.
It is likely that the next president may have the opportunity to appoint two or three Supreme Court Justices, which may have a long term effect on constitutional issues, especially Second Amendment rights. This could shape our culture for the next 30 years, radically.
