Kenneth Wayne Boeger, 66, of Red Oak

Kenneth was born Aug. 9, 1942, in Red Oak, the son of Edward A. and Anna H. (Swenson) Boeger.

He graduated from Stennett High School in 1960 and started working for Russell Lloyd.  

After a short time, he went to work for Union Carbide until serving in the U.S. Navy from 1964 to 1968. 

Upon his return, he went to work for Union Carbide again.

Kenneth was united in marriage to Nadine Roberson on Jan. 17, 1969, in Red Oak. 

Kenneth worked for Union Carbide when it became Eveready Battery Co. and was working for them when the Red Oak plant closed in 1996. 

He then worked for Communication Data Services until his retirement in October of this year.  

Kenneth loved basketball and baseball. He was also an avid gardener. 

Preceding him in death were his parents.  

Survivors include his wife, Nadine Boeger of Red Oak; children, Clarisa (Trent) Christensen of Waukee, Kimberly (Victor) Tavano of Kissimmee, Fla., and Richard Boeger of Mission, Kan.; four grandchildren; brother, Ed  (Judy) Boeger of Omaha, Neb.; sister, Lois Coe of Marceline, Mo.; and many brothers, sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Jerry Lamb officiating. 

Visitation with the family will be from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel.
