Jennifer Sohl and Philip Walter

Robert Sohl and Teresa Sohl of Villisca and Philip and Sharon Walter of Council Bluffs are pleased to announce the marriage of their children, Jennifer Carol Sohl, formerly of Red Oak, and Philip Joseph Walter, Council Bluffs.

The wedding took place Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Villisca Advent Christian Church in Villisca with Rev. Gordan Scott of the United Methodist Church in Villisca officiating.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Robert Sohl. Her maid of honor was Rachael Brockway; bridesmaids were Elizabeth and Megan Sohl, sisters of the bride. Additionally, the bride was attended by three junior bridesmaids; Lauren Mendoza, Kaitlyn and Brooke Hart. Jill Hart, cousin of the bride, served as personal attendant.

The flower girl was Morgan Brockway.

The groom was accompanied by best man Allen Hart and groomsmen Brian and Isaac Hart, all cousins of the bride. The ringbearer was Travis Sohl, a cousin of the bride.

After the ceremony, a cake reception was hosted at the Villisca Community Center, Villisca. The couple will honeymoon in San Francisco, Calif. and plan to make their home in Council Bluffs.
