STANTON — The Montgomery County Farm Bureau recently hosted a safety poster contest for third-grade students in Terri Vennerberg’s
classroom.
Children were asked to create a poster that taught a safety lesson on the farm or at home.
The class studied safety during this time and also heard a presentation by Montgomery County Extension Director Bill Drey.
There were 15 posters judged by members of the Farm Bureau women’s
committee.
Awards were presented Oct. 21 to Austin Houston, first place; Noah Kammerer, second, and Tanner Anderson, third.
Winning posters were displayed at Pizza Hut in Red Oak. All youth participating received a free Pizza Hut coupon.
