Tigers hold on late in win over Stanton

Amanda Houser and Sadie Gohlinhorst combined for 33 points for Griswold in a 49-43 win over Stanton in Corner Conference girls basketball Friday in Stanton.
Houser hit 6-of-15 shots and added eight steals while pouring in 19 points to lead the Tigers (11-9 overall, 5-7 in the conference). Gohlinghorst connected on 5-of-6 shots for 14 points. Carsyn Adams chipped in nine points and four steals.
Piper French paced Stanton (4-16 overall, 3-9 in the conference) with 18 points.

Seymour 33
Stanton defeated Seymour 55-33 in nonconference girls basketball Thursday.
 Leilanie Foster-Saye scored 11 and Piper French 10 to lead Stanton.
Seymour was led by Gabrielle Mitchell’s 19 points.
Stanton 54,
Hamburg 23
Stanton snapped a four-game losing skid with a 54-23 win over Hamburg in girls Corner Conference basketball last Tuesday.
Piper French led a balanced scoring effort with 10 points. Maven Allen and Cooper Stephens added nine points each.
Hannah Thompson led Hamburg with eight points.

Griswold 31
Sidney outscored Griswold 36-21 after halftime in a 55-31 win in Corner Conference girls basketball last Tuesday.
Alyssa Dowling led Sidney with 14 points. Charli King added 12 points and 16 rebounds.
Amanda Houser scored nine to pace Griswold.
